At 1 Esplanade, Backstage is possibly one of the most ideally situated residences in the city. Crossing the border between Old Town and the Financial District, residents of Backstage can take advantage of everything the city has to offer, from amazing restaurants, such as Epic across the street, and fantastic markets with the St. Lawrence only steps away, to funky urban night spots such as Pravda Vodka Bar and lovely urban squares such as Berczy Park. Backstage is also surrounded on all sides by some of the city’s best entertainment centres. The tower itself is connected to the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and the Air Canada Centre – Toronto’s premier sports and entertainment venue, the Rogers Centre – home of the Toronto Blue Jays and Argonauts, Four Seasons Centre – boasting Canada’s National Ballet and Opera Companies, and Ripley’s Aquarium are all short walks away. Also nearby is Toronto’s waterfront and access to Lake Ontario, urban beaches and the Toronto Islands.

Backstage is also in close proximity to some of the best shopping the city has to offer, with the Eaton’s Centre, Queen Street and Yonge Street all close by. Backstage is also connected to Toronto’s PATH system, offering up even more shopping opportunities and allowing residents to traverse the city comfortably in poor weather. Nearby grocery and drug stores abound, making life convenient and easy. Backstage on the Esplanade is less than a five minute walk (above or below ground) from Toronto’s Union Station, connecting residents to the Go, VIA and TTC transit systems. It is also not far from Toronto’s Billy Bishop airport and offers easy access to the Gardiner Expressway for those with their own cars.
